The Knoble Launches National Awareness Campaign to Combat Human Crime

The Knoble, a nonprofit alliance dedicated to preventing Human Crime, has announced the launch of a National Awareness Campaign to spotlight the risks and realities of crimes where people are exploited for profit—such as human trafficking, child sexual exploitation (CSE), elder financial exploitation (EFE), and scams.
With support from Walmart, this initiative brings together financial institutions and NGOs to coordinate awareness efforts across sectors. The goal is to unify messaging, improve visibility, and enhance the effectiveness of efforts to help the public and professionals recognize signs of exploitation.
First identified during The Knoble’s April 2024 Human Crime Workshop, this campaign emphasizes the importance of collaboration to overcome the limitations of fragmented efforts. The Knoble’s Human Crime Awareness Month framework will serve as a foundation for year-round engagement and education.
“Preventing Human Crime requires collective action across industries. This campaign will strengthen alignment between financial institutions, NGOs, and public entities, ensuring critical messages reach those who need them most,” said Emma Campbell, Director of Program Delivery at The Knoble.
This national initiative will promote consistent messaging through coordinated outreach, social media campaigns, and shared resources. Organizations are encouraged to integrate awareness efforts into their existing communications, amplifying impact across audiences.
As part of this effort, The Knoble encourages the public to save and share the following hotline numbers to report exploitation:
- Human Trafficking – National Human Trafficking Hotline: 1-888-373-7888
- Child Sexual Exploitation – NCMEC CyberTipline: 1-800-THE-LOST (1-800-843-5678)
- Elder Financial Exploitation – Senate Committee on Aging Fraud Hotline: 1-855-303-9470
- Scams – FTC Consumer Response Center: 1-877-FTC-HELP (1-877-382-4357)
This campaign demonstrates the vital role of public-private partnerships in addressing Human Crime and empowering institutions and individuals to recognize and report exploitation.
